No Open Burning – Statewide



On Sunday October 20, starting at 1:00PM and ending at 3:00PM the Fire Department will be hosting their annual Open House. The Open House is an opportunity to visit with firefighters and paramedics to learn about the equipment fire trucks and ambulances carry and how it is used on an emergency scene. There will be fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars on display along with vehicles from the Berlin Township Road Department. Tours of the fire station will be conducted throughout the event. Informational booths from different local government agencies and safety handouts will be on display. Refreshments will be served during the Open House.

Once again the Berlin Township Fire Department will be accepting the following items through December 24th.

Please come by the station at 2708 Lackey Old State Road,
to meet the firefighters and DCEMS crews.

Items we can accept as donations are:
New Toys
Winter coats, Hats & gloves
School Supplies

Items that we cannot accept are:
Food that is opened, outdated, or damaged containers
Homemade food
Used articles of clothing

Our Mission

To serve the community by protecting life, property and the environment; by providing fire safety education, inspections, suppression, investigations, emergency medical support, disaster response and hazardous materials mitigation. We will give the highest level of service possible with the level of resources provided to this department, in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. It is the residents of Berlin Township who ultimately determine the level of service we are able to provide and with a pro-active attitude we will continually evaluate this service to enable us to change with the needs of our community.

Delaware County EMS – Medic 10

Partnering with Delaware County EMS, Medic 10 was assigned to Berlin Township Fire Station 390 in 2004. A joint co-operation agreement provides our residents with a 24 hour per day, seven days a week Paramedic service at no cost to our residents. Medic10 responds with the Berlin Township Fire Department on all fire and rescue related emergencies within our jurisdiction and to mutual aid emergencies if requested.
